World Cup Final

The excitement in Germany is intense as two European teams prepare to battle in the World Cup Final match this weekend.

Sunday's final will be watched by an estimated audience of over one billion people around the world as France and Italy play for soccer's most prestigious title. The match will take place after the World Cup closing ceremonies, which will feature a headlining performance by Shakira as well as entertainment from Il Divo and Toni Braxton. The third place match between Germany and Portugal will take place on Saturday.

Positively Dylan

Bob Dylan is back on the road with a scheduled tour set to run late this summer, which will visit Minor League ballparks across North America.

The iconic singer-songwriter will embark on the trek in Michigan on August 12 and finish on September 5 in Indiana. The tour follows on the heels of his current set of concert dates in Europe. Many musicians will accompany Dylan on the tour, including guitar-whiz Junior Brown. Bob Dylan's previous two Minor League ballpark tours featured Willie Nelson.

Stampede Time Again

Get out your cowboy hat and boots — the Calgary Stampede is back again with the world famous rodeo set to begin this Friday, July 7.

Stampede Corral in Calgary, Alberta, will be full of excitement for the duration of the 10 day rodeo. Events such as Bull Riding, Ladies Barrel Racing and Saddle Bronco will be featured at the annual rodeo. A highlight of the rodeo is the celebrated Calgary Stampede Chuckwagon Races, which will take place throughout the next week.

Avenue Q in UK

The hit Broadway production, Avenue Q, is receiving rave reviews in the UK after opening in London's West End last week.

The musical, which features a cast of both humans and puppets, is based in New York City and is a mix of reality and comedy. Avenue Q is continuing its run on Broadway in addition to its new West End shows. The production took home three of its six nominations at the 2004 Tony Awards, beating out favourites such as Wicked and Fiddler on the Roof, and has been receiving high praise ever since.
