Musical Adaptation

One of the most influential duos in theatre is teaming up yet again to create a new musical based on the play La Dame aux camelias.

Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schonberg will collaborate on a new musical, Margeurite, based on the Alexandre Dumas play La Dame aux camelias. The pair have created many blockbuster productions in the past including The Pirate Queen and Les Miserables. Dumas' work has been replicated on stage before as the inspiration of Verdi's opera, La Traviata. Margeurite is planned to open in London in 2008.
