OK to Go Again

OK Go is returning to the U.S. for another tour fresh after finishing a month-long stint in Europe.

The American rockers will begin their U.S. concert dates in early October and run until November 21 when they will finish with a five-date run supporting Death Cab for Cutie. OK Go are famous for their homemade-style music videos featuring choreographed routines. The band has toured the U.S. multiple times this year performing with acts like Motion City Soundtrack, Panic! at the Disco and She Wants Revenge.

Hockey Season Returns

Professional hockey is back for another year of thrills as the NHL 2006-07 season gets started next week.

The puck will drop on October 4 with the first games of the regular season set to take place in Carolina, Colorado and Toronto. Preseason games will wrap up on October 1 before the battle for the Stanley Cup begins. Reigning champs the Carolina Hurricanes will have to hold off the East while Western teams like the Vancouver Canucks and Edmonton Oilers will try to steal the cup this season.

Wicked Witches in London

The hit musical Wicked has ventured across the Atlantic and will premiere in London's West End today.

Already a blockbuster success in New York, Chicago and on its North American tour, Wicked will now call London's Apollo Victoria Theatre home. The show has been running previews there since September 7. Idina Menzel, who won a Tony Award for her original performance on Broadway, will reprise the role of green-faced witch Elphaba. Menzel has also appeared in productions of Rent and Aida among many others.

Viva Las Vegoose

The 2nd annual Vegoose festival is quickly approaching and the bill continues to grow with new acts signing up all the time.

The Halloween music festival, which will be headlined by Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, will take place on October 28 - 29 at Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas. Musicians set to perform include The Raconteurs, Fiona Apple, The Killers and The Black Crowes, among many others. Vegoose's eclectic mix of Halloween, Las Vegas and music can be attributed to the same creators as the Bonnaroo Music Festival.

Chase for the Cup

The chase for the cup continues next week as the NASCAR Nextel Cup series moves to Kansas City for the Banquet 400.

Drivers will push to lead the pack at the Kansas Speedway on October 1 as the final races in the chase draw nearer. In contention to take the title is current leader Kevin Harvick who is closely followed by rookie Denny Hamlin and Matt Kenseth. Following the Banquet 400 is the UAW Ford 500 on October 8 at Talladega Speedway and the Bank of America 500 on October 14 at Lowe's Motor Speedway.
