Velvet Revolver, whose new release Libertad hits the streets July 3, has just announced dates for a tour with Alice In Chains. The first leg of the Velvet Revolver tour focuses on venues on the East Coast and the Midwest and runs through the month of August, beginning with an appearance August 5 at Virgin Festival U.S. at the Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore, MD.
Other stops on the tour include the Tweeter Center in Mansfield, Mass. (August 14), the Nikon at Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh, N.Y. (August 18), Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Conn. (August 21), the DTE Energy Music Theater in Clarkston, Mich. (August 27), and the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minn. (August 29).

LA Dodgers pitcher, Chad Billingsley is set for his first start of the 2007 season this evening when the LA Dodgers battle the Toronto Blue Jays in the rubber match of a three-game series at Rogers Centre.
Shaun Marcum will aim for his third straight winning start tonight for the Toronto Blue Jays. The right-hander is 3-0 over his last nine outings and hasn't posted a defeat since May 2 at Cleveland. In the series' second game on Wednesday, Frank Thomas clubbed his 497th career homer, a grand slam in the second inning, to lift the Toronto Blue Jays to a 12-1 win.

Heaven and Hell/Alice Cooper will unleash another round of classic metal in America this fall. Former Black Sabbath bandmates Ronnie James Dio, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Vinny Appice return for a second U.S. leg starting September 5 in Binghampton, N.Y.
The tour will stop in markets not included on the earlier itinerary and will feature opening sets from Alice Cooper and Queensryche. Tickets for the first 12 dates will go on sale the weekend of June 22 with more dates to be announced soon

Ontario indie foursome and "Gilmore Girls" fave Tokyo Police Club will cruise through a slew of summer dates in Europe, the U.S. and Canada as the band makes its first-ever run of the festival circuits with some club shows on the side in support of its 2006 EP A Lesson In Crime.
The European leg of the tour kicks off with a June 21 gig at London's Hoxton Bar before TPC makes a June 22 appearance at the mother of all festivals, Glastonbury. Tokyo Police Club heads home to Ontario July 13 for the Cisco Systems Ottawa Bluesfest before setting off across the U.S.

ZZ Top Tickets
ZZ Top, The Prenteders and The Stray Cats will join up to tour together this summer for a tour in affiliation with Jack FM radio stations. Don Henley, REO Speedwagon, Joan Jett have expanded their respective tours, adding more performance dates and locations. The tour kicks off July 19 at Toyota Park in Chicago and will make stops in markets around the U.S. and Canada, including Baltimore, Atlantic City, Detroit, St. Louis, Nashville, Oklahoma City, Dallas, Las Vegas, Denver, San Diego and Seattle.
