Brooks' Next Broadway Hit

Mel Brooks is looking for second success on Broadway to follow his blockbuster debut musical, The Producers.

Brooks' new project is adapting his 1974 film Young Frankenstein to the stage and he already has a stellar cast lined up. Megan Mullally, famed as Karen on TV's Will & Grace, has been cast as Elizabeth replacing The Apple Tree star Kristen Chenoweth who was originally slotted in the role. Sutton Foster, who is currently starring in The Drowsy Chaperone, and Shuler Hensley, who appeared in Tarzan, will round out the cast.

Lily's Upcoming Tour

Lily Allen is returning to North America for a tour of club venues and performances at music festivals.

The British darling of pop music will kick off her tour with a showcase at the South by Southwest Music Festival in Austin, Texas on March 14. Her tour will run from mid-March to June and visit cities across the continent. In addition to her regular tour, Lily Allen will also perform at festivals including KCRW Sounds Eclectic on April 14, the Coachella Music Festival on April 29 and the Bonnaroo Music Festival on June 15.

March Madness

It's that time of year when college sports fans gear up for March Madness, the biggest showdown in NCAA Basketball.

The tournament will tip off next week with the top 65 college basketball teams in the U.S. squaring off over three weeks of intense competition. Games will be held at venues across the country throughout the initial rounds of March Madness. The Men's Final Four games will be played at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, Georgia while the Women's Final Four games are set to be held at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio.

Pirates on Broadway

A piece of Irish history takes the stage by storm today as The Pirate Queen begins previews on Broadway.

The musical adaptation of Ireland's 16th century pirate chieftain, Grace O'Malley, will play at the Hilton Theatre after debut performances at Chicago's Cadillac Theatre last fall. The production is a collaboration of Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schonberg, the Tony Award-winning creators of Les Miserables and Miss Saigon. The official opening of The Pirate Queen on Broadway will take place on April 1.

Placebo on Meds

English rock band Placebo will go on tour this spring with a number of dates scheduled around the world.

The three-piece band is hitting the road in support of their latest album, Meds, released early last year. The tour will kick off with a pair of dates London on March 6 and 7 before heading to South America for eight shows. The North American leg of the tour will begin on April 6 and wrap up at the Coachella Music Festival on April 29. Placebo toured the U.S. last fall with She Wants Revenge, also in support of Meds.
