Dave Matthews Band Tickets

Dave Matthews Band, John Mayer, Phil Vassar and Nas have all signed on for A Concert For Virgina Tech, which was conceived as an effort to help the university community move forward from the tragic shootings at the school in April. The September 6 concert will be held at Lane Stadium on the Virgina Tech campus in Blacksburg, Va., and will be open to all current students, faculty and staff.

Matthews Mayer, Vassar and Nas have all waived their fees, and corporate sponsorships and the sale of commemorative concert items will help cover expenses incurred in putting on the event.

Ricky Martin Tickets

Ricky Martin who is currently completing a series of sold-out arena dates in Europe, has announced the initial dates for a second North American leg of his Black & White tour. First up is a handful of dates in Mexico, beginning with a pair of shows September 15-16 at Arena Monterrey and wrapping up September 27 at Plaza De Toros in Tijuana. The U.S. portion of new run kicks off September 29 at The Honda Center in Anaheim, California.

Ricky Martin is a Grammy Award-winning Puerto Rican pop singer who rose to fame, first as a member of the Latin boy band Menudo.

Michael Franti Tickets

Australia is Michael Franti's largest record market per capita, so it was no surprise that Franti's new music, art and media Up! Festival chose Australia for its first appearance outside the United States. The bill will include Franti and his band Spearhead, Ben Lee, and rising acts Blue King Brown and Old Man River. The arena dates are organised through Frontier Touring Company, which brought Franti out as an unknown ten years ago. Stops include Challenge Stadium, Perth (September 14), Thebarton Theatre, Adelaide (16) and the AIS Arena, Canberra (19).

Michael Franti is an African, Irish, and German American poet, musician, and composer.

Amy Winehouse Tickets

Amy Winehouse and Paolo Nutini, who will be heading to the States soon for a co-headlining run, have both announced plans for tours immediately after those dates. The pair's eight-city run kicks off September 12 on the Central Park SummerStage in New York and focuses on both coasts, hitting Philadelphia; Los Angeles; San Francisco; Vancouver, B.C., and Seattle before finishing up in the Midwest with shows in Minneapolis and Chicago. Winehouse and Nutini will play two shows each in Los Angeles and San Francisco.

Paolo Nutini's album features singles including "Last Request", "Jenny Don't Be Hasty", "Rewind" and "New Shoes".
