It's a Scream

The hip hop Scream Tour is set for another trip around the country with a new troupe of artists ready to launch the tour next week.

The Scream Tour will present a mix of artists this year and feature R&B singer NE-YO, one of the proteges from Jay-Z's Def Jam records. Musicians including Yung Joc and Mario will also join for the fifth installment of the popular Scream Tour. The tour kicks off on November 22 at American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida and will visit 17 cities across the U.S. before the New Year.

Grey Cup

Anticipation is building in Winnipeg as football fans converge on the host city for the 94th annual Grey Cup this weekend.

The 2006 CFL championship will see the BC Lions battle the Montreal Alouettes in a bid for this year's title. The winner will be decided on Sunday, November 19 when the two teams clash at Canad Inns Stadium. A bevy of musicians will also be in Winnipeg for the event including the star of the halftime show, Nelly Furtado, and recent Canadian Idol winner, Eva Avila, who will sing the national anthem.

Legally Blonde on Broadway

Casting has been announced for the musical adaptation of the film Legally Blonde with Laura Bell Bundy in the lead role.

Bundy, who has appeared in productions including Wicked and Hairspray, will play spoiled rich girl Elle Woods in the musical comedy. Christian Borle, who recently appeared in Spamalot, will play opposite Bundy in the role of Elle's romantic interest, Emmett. Legally Blonde will open on Broadway in April next year after its preview run in San Francisco set for January 2007.

Groban's Awake Tour

Josh Groban has announced a 29-city tour that will see the classical crossover musician visit venues across North America.

The Awake Tour will kick off early in the New Year and last for nearly two months as the singer and multi-instrumentalist travels to cities including New York, Toronto and Los Angeles. The tour is in support of Groban's latest album, Awake, which features a host of guest musicians including Dave Matthews, Imogen Heap, Ladysmith Black Mambazo and Herbie Hancock.

Tennis Masters Cup

The top eight tennis players in the men's world rankings are in Shanghai, China this week to battle in the Tennis Masters Cup.

The round robin tournament began play on Sunday and will continue through to this Sunday, November 19 when a winner will be decided. Players including Roger Federer, Andy Roddick and James Blake are competing in the event. Inclusion in the Tennis Masters Cup weighs heavily on performance at the four Grand Slam events. The next Grand Slam event is the Australian Open scheduled for mid-January 2007.
