Pirates on Broadway

A piece of Irish history takes the stage by storm today as The Pirate Queen begins previews on Broadway.

The musical adaptation of Ireland's 16th century pirate chieftain, Grace O'Malley, will play at the Hilton Theatre after debut performances at Chicago's Cadillac Theatre last fall. The production is a collaboration of Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schonberg, the Tony Award-winning creators of Les Miserables and Miss Saigon. The official opening of The Pirate Queen on Broadway will take place on April 1.
